Is Affiliate Marketing suitable for you?

What is ‘Affiliate Marketing’? In this business model, a person who joins affiliate marketing program as an affiliate marketer is like a ‘middle man’ selling products (or services) to potential customers. The affiliate marketer does not need to create his own products. Instead, he researches on good products created by other people/companies in the internet, provides objective information and evaluation of the product, recommends the product and closes the sales. What affiliate marketers earn is the commission from the sales made through him. Simple?

Affiliate Marketing is currently a popular business model in the market today. Not to worry, the pie is big enough for everyone. Here’s a quick summary why Affiliate Marketing is a wonderful business model and may be suitable for you:

- requires low cost investment, probably just a few tens or hundred dollars to start with, depending on your budget
- a huge market of products and services for you to find
- there are tools to help you search for the right products and services to promote
- it’s easy to switch product if the current one doesn’t seem to sell that well
- monitor your online business at home while you keep your stable full-time job
- provides supplementary income to live the lifestyle you have always desired
- and more…

So who will be suitable to start on Affiliate Marketing? Go through the list below and see if you have many ticks against each of the points:
- you are working and still keen to earn additional / side income
- you are looking for (alternative) job
- you are not working (eg. retirees, housewife, student) and you would like to look for activities to spend your time more meaningfully and/or earn some extra income
- you want to be an entrepreneur and not reporting to anyone/boss
- you want to work from home
